Our Fundraising Story
Enniskerry Victorian Field Day Charities
The Festival is organised entirely by dedicated volunteers and the local parishes of Enniskerry and this unique event has become a great success attracting almost 4,000 people each year!
Each year the proceeds of the day are divided between the joint parishes and a national charity organisation. We have chosen to work with the amazing Lakers once again for 2016. Lakers is a sport and recreational club for children and adults with an intellectual disability. The club provides a wide range of sporting, educational and essential support services to members across Leinster. They have been in operation since 1989 and currently have 400 members supported by 130 volunteers and staff.
‘In Lakers we passionately believe that each member is unique, has their own abilities and is entitled to the opportunity for a better future.’ www.Lakers.ie
In previous years, We have worked with the Wicklow Hospice Foundation. The Wicklow Hospice Foundation campaigns and raises funds to provide a full seven day palliative care service and a purpose built Hospice. www.wicklowhospice.ie. We also give part of the proceeds to the Joint Parishes of Enniskerry. These funds will help to fund some of the very important programmes run by the parishes including ‘meals on wheels’, social programmes and building restoration and care-taking programmes.
Compliance and Transparency
As a Registered Charity, we totally support the need for transparency on our sources of income and how we spend this money for the benefit of our charity partners. View our income and expendititure information here: EVFD-Inc and Exp Acc 2013 EVFD – Inc-Exp Account 2014
